Another catcher is coming to Washington, as Kris Watts was just contracted by the Nationals. For a district that doesn’t support the death penalty, we sure are doing our best to bring in new people for our own version of death row.
Someone in the Nationals organization had the bright idea to sign Kris Watts to a minor league deal. He has shone brightly at times in the minors, but has remained there for 7 seasons without ever playing in the big leagues. Because of this lack of development I’m sure some people will be asking “Watts up with this signing?” To which I reply with minimal laughter for their clever wordplay. But also confusion as to why we signed him.
